Jacron paper is a sustainable sheet of kraft paper made from cellulose, (the main fibre that forms the structure of plants), water and some particles of natural rubber.
It’s a vegan and eco-friendly option, and an amazing alternative to leather: jacron looks similar to real leather, but it’s 100% animal-free. Jacron was first used in the 1950s in jeans tags, also called jacrons.
Thanks to its durable and water-resistant qualities, jacron paper was adopted by Levi’s to replace leather tags.
